In my adaptation of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, we find ourselves in a city created by people like Dr Jekyll, where magic exists alongside science. In order to create a comfortable world for the higher class, Dr Jekyll transforms himself into Mr Hyde to tap into the souls of the working class. This will be the primary resource for the magic used by Dr Jekyll. The city is vertical, with the upper part inhabited by the upper class. The lower part of the city was dark and dirty, where Mr Hyde draws the souls of his victims. Its inhabitants are compressed by gravity, which over the generations has caused man to evolve into a curved body.
